Pianist Andreas Klein describes his approach to writing his personal cadenza for Mozart's Piano Concerto, explores the "fantastic" journey through the night as envisioned by Schumann in his 8 Fantasy Pieces opus 12 and illustrates the aspects of the Bach Partita II. Next he introduces Beethoven Piano Sonata Op. 13 and offers an artistic look behind the "curtain" on Chopin's Ballade No.1. Then he introduces the 3 Argentinian Dances as a fascinating and virtuosic ending to a piano recital program. The last video takes a look into the artistic features and pianistic challenges.

UF Symphony Orchestra guest artist hosts master class for music students

On Tuesday, Klein, a Juilliard graduate who has performed at some of the world?s most prestigious venues, hosted a master class with students from the piano studios of Professors Hee Jung Kang, Kevin Orr and Kevin Sharpe. "Our students benefit tremendously from an artist of Andreas Klein?s caliber, one of many international guests we have in the School of Music throughout the year," said Orr.

Tours with collaborations in North America

Tours with chamber orchestras and string quartets in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Andreas has recently worked with the Minguet Quartett (Germany), Minetti Quartett (Austria) and Cuarteto Casals (Spain) as well as with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists (Austria) and the Lucerne Festival Strings (Switzerland).
